In the paper 'The Problem of Identifying the System and the Environment in the Phenomenon of Decoherence', the authors wrote: 'Since there is no privileged or essential decomposition of the closed system, there is no need of an unequivocal criterion for identifying the systems involved in decoherence. Therefore, the “looming big problem” −which, according to Zurek, poses a serious threat to the whole decoherence program− dissolves in the light of the relativity of decoherence.'
After reading the paper more carefully, will I be convinced of the above conclusion? See my study notes and questions page for my opinions on related topics.
I will not bet on this market.
