Resolution Criteria

This market resolves to "Yes" if any raid activity that was previously playable in Destiny 2 and subsequently removed to the Destiny Content Vault (DCV) is reinstated as an officially playable activity.

Eligible Content:

  • Past Vaulted Raids: Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, Spire of Stars, Scourge of the Past, and Crown of Sorrow.

  • Future Vaulted Raids: If Bungie vaults any currently active raid, that raid becomes eligible for a "Yes" resolution upon its return to the game.

This market resolves to "No" if Bungie definitively announces that no vaulted raids will ever return, or if the game's servers are permanently shut down without a previously vaulted raid becoming playable.

Exclusions and Constraints

  • The addition of the Destiny 1 raid Wrath of the Machine will not trigger a "Yes" resolution.

  • To resolve "Yes," the raid must be playable with its original (or mechanically altered) encounters culminating in its original raid boss. Reintroducing a raid's physical location as a patrol zone or story mission environment does not count.

Verification

  • Verification will be determined through official communication from Bungie, including patch notes, "This Week in Destiny" (TWID) blog posts, or verified social media announcements.

  • Alternatively, the market may resolve if the raid activity is confirmed to be present and functional within the in-game Director (e.g., under the "Legends" tab or a specific destination).

Background

In November 2020, with the release of the Beyond Light expansion, Bungie introduced the Destiny Content Vault (DCV). This resulted in the removal of much of the game's content to allegedly reduce technical debt and game file size. Among the removed content were five raids: the flagship Leviathan and its two "Raid Lairs" (Eater of Worlds, Spire of Stars), plus Scourge of the Past and Crown of Sorrow.

Since 2020, Bungie has focused on "reprised" raids from the original Destiny (Vault of Glass, King's Fall, Crota's End). While certain vaulted assets have returned, such as the Leviathan ship appearing for a limited time as a patrol space in 2022, none of the original Destiny 2 raids have been made playable again.

As of May 2026, the community remains divided on whether these legacy activities will ever return to the active rotation or if technical constraints have permanently sidelined them.
