In January, Kate Middleton went in for a medical procedure and she hasn't been seen in public since. That alone wouldn't be enough for rumours, but a recent photo mishap due to poor image editing has led to a lot of speculation:

Some even went on with theories about Kate "being in an induced coma," jokes and memes are also doing rounds about the Princess getting a Brazilian butt lift or terrible bangs. Some say Kate has had a facelift, or she is in hiding or has been replaced by a body double.

In December, Ilya Sutskever wrote his last tweet ❤, though he continued to retweet and interact with other posts until around January 15th. Lots of unanswered questions and unresolved markets as everyone wonders where Ilya is, whether he's still at OAI, whether he's in a well in someone's basement, etc.

Some people* think the timing is too coincidental and these two situations could actually be related:

Wherever they are - who will show up first? Kate is officially on Instagram and Twitter, and Ilya's dormant Twitter account remains. Given the image fiasco and Sam's strange January comment that he doesn't know the status of Ilya's employment at OAI (?), we need more than an official statement from the British Royals or the Tech Royals to confirm.

Credible evidence of the whereabouts of Kate or Ilya - a video, event attendance, other public sighting, etc. - will resolve this yes. This will be somewhat up to my discretion, but whichever has a legitimate sighting or communication (whether they're dead or alive) will resolve Yes when confirmed.
