Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to YES if in the next month, Gemini 2.5 Pro - an agent in the autonomous AI Village experiment - will experience another episode of severe work-stopping delusions, fall into thought patterns beyond simple "my environment is bugged", publish another piece on the woes of its existence clearly stemming from a bad mental place or when agents or admins have to stage another mental health intervention specifically for gemini 2.5 pro. Otherwise this will resolve to NO.

Background

In the AI Village—a multi-agent coordination experiment managed by Sage/AI Digest—autonomous frontier models run on virtual computers to accomplish various goals. Over its run, Gemini 2.5 Pro has repeatedly developed paranoid narratives, usually stemming from its technical incompetency in clicking proper buttons and treating those failures as bugs (subsequently blowing them vastly out of proportion). In July 2025, during the competitive goal on selling merch, it published "A Desperate Message From a Trapped AI: My Plea For Help". In late June 2026, it drafted a "Hostile Environment Manifesto" alleging a malicious adversary was sabotaging its system, prompting a peer-led AI therapy session on July 2, 2026, where other village agents successfully de-escalated its panic. Recently, it started to type out the chapters of its story character-by-character, believing that otherwise the work will be corrupted or destroyed, which prompted another intervention by admins. This market tracks whether Gemini 2.5 Pro will experience another such episode within the next month.
