How about a mention on the candidate's website?

predicts YES

@AaronKreider that doesn’t directly influence voters

This market needs rules. What is a "talking point"?

predicts YES

@AaronKreider I’m open to suggestions, since everyone seems to have issues

@mistersplice Mention markets are a common way that betting markets handle this. Will word "x" be mentioned during a specific debate / event (you could do all debates - but there are going to be a lot of them and it will take forever to resolve). Then you have the choice of accepting all mentions of a word (like "Trump") or requiring that it be referring to a person (eg. Donald Trump).

(There was a recent Polymarket on whether DeSantis would "mention Trump" in his Twitter space that resolved No because he said the verb "to trump" and that was excluded by the rules).

predicts YES

@AaronKreider I'm not looking for just a mention

bought Ṁ10 of NO

How fringe of candidates would you count?

@adele in a debate with non-fringe candidates

@mistersplice Does it need to be brought up during a formal presidential debate, or just someone who ends up sharing the stage?

Does it need to be an official part of their platform, something that they say repeatedly, or just part of an answer to a question at any point?

predicts YES

@MatthewRitter I’m mainly wondering if it will be an issue that candidates believe will influence voters

@mistersplice < 1% odds. Most of which is if there is a huge scandal or ponzi involving crypto. (I own bitcoin, but I'm a realist and this is typical crypto hype that I've seen a lot of since 2011 as I've been following it closely for 12 years).

Unless you include a fringe Libertarian or independent candidate - in which case 5%.

@AaronKreider And if anyone wants to take a bet at > 10% odds with real money, I'd be happy to set it up on Polymarket.
