Resolution criteria
Resolves YES if, on the stock’s first regular trading session on the NYSE, the NYSE official closing price at 4:00 p.m. ET is strictly greater than the official opening price from the opening auction at/after 9:30 a.m. ET for ticker KLAR. Pre‑/after‑hours are ignored. If the debut is delayed, resolution occurs on the actual first day of trading. Use NYSE-reported prices as reflected on major trackers (e.g., Yahoo Finance/MarketWatch) for verification. (investor.gov)
First trading day is expected to be Wednesday, September 10, 2025, on the NYSE under “KLAR.” (reuters.com, cnbc.com)
Background
Klarna priced its U.S. IPO at $40 per share, implying ~$15–15.2B valuation, with trading set to begin on the NYSE under KLAR. (reuters.com, apnews.com, ft.com)
The company is a major “buy now, pay later” player, going public after filing for a U.S. listing earlier in 2025. (cnbc.com)
Considerations
“Closes green” here is defined as close > open on Day 1, not relative to the $40 IPO price; the opening auction price may be materially above or below the IPO price. (investopedia.com)
If intraday volatility halts occur, they don’t affect resolution; only the official open and 4:00 p.m. ET close matter. (investor.gov)
