Will there be a manalink in the comments with at least one unclaimed M$5 charge at the closing of this market?

Resolved
YES

The comment with the manalink has to be at least 60 minutes old when the market closes for it to count.

People who spam comments to obscure the comment section will be blocked.

The exact hour of closing on Sunday might change since I need to be free when it happens. If I change the closing time, I'll leave at least 4 hours between the time of change and the new closing time.

Experimental. Feel free to ask for clarifications

Resolving this as "yes" for the following reasons.

- The literal wording supports resolving it as "yes",

- duN's (@dgga) account is active and profitable with a large portfolio, meaning that the remaining charges in his manalink will eventually be valid, and

- the pace at which duN's (@dgga) manalink charges were being claimed when valid did not appear to be quick enough to leave the manalink empty before closing.

Solving as "yes" in 15 minutes unless any substantial counterarguments are made.

sold Ṁ41 of NO

@memestiny i have a counterargument

@DeadRhino currently, duN has 0 cash, making the link invalid

@DeadRhino their last trade was on this market, so they hit balance 0 before this market closed.

bought Ṁ514 of YES

@DeadRhino i was unaware that happens, i firmly thought the mana for the link was reserved at the time i created the link. My counter-counter argument is that my balance went to 0 20 seconds before the market closed, at which point the link had been active for well over 60 minutes

predicted YES

Adding onto that, the market question or description never even mentioned the link needing to be valid, which is a loophole on its own, but i never intended to abuse that, since I had no idea that the link took the mana from my balance

predicted YES

Going by the desription and the question, one might have simply posted a mana link with 1 charge and dumped their balance for the duration of the market for all the stated requirements to be fulfilled

@DeadRhino Does it leave the link invalid? I was able to claim a charge myself just now. I'm not sure how that works, does it put you in debt?

predicted YES

@memestiny i have mana on my balance sheet now, I didn't have any for a few minutes after dumping it all here right before this closed. I cannot confirm or deny (since I cannot claim my own mana links) whether or not it is indeed possible to claim the link while my balance is <5

@memestiny when the market closed, duN didnt have any mana, which doesn't allow it to be claimed, but now now duN has mana so you can claim it again

bought Ṁ500 of YES

@DeadRhino Wow that's an edge case. But the mana link of 5$ format did have at least 1 charge left, as per the title.

@DeadRhino I honestly didn't even realise that this was a possibility (for some reason I thought that you paid mana into the manalink when you made it). I'll keep this up for debate a little while longer. Currently leaning towards resolving this one "yes" on a technicality and specifying that the link has to be valid in the future.

@memestiny i'm fine with this resolving yes

If the manalink is text embedded like this, does it count? Can I put more than one per comment?

@DanMan314 As long as the comment isn't incredibly long just to obscure the link (will count it as spam) and as long as the link is embedded in a way that it's reasonably visible (so, not in e.g. a single period). Otherwise, if you want to make one singular, reasonably lengthy comment with a jungle of embedded words, go for it.
