It seems astoundingly unlikely that the any hypothetical prohibition of crypto would be a single law -- afaict that's not really how things are done in finance any more. Just a steady accumulation of minor regulations and supervisory memos and raised eyebrows that make it progressively more and more costly, unpleasant, suspect, and probably-cause'y until no trade counterparties are left.
