A soldier who was 18 during the battle of Stalingrad will be 105 in 2030. An article from 2009 says there were 35 German survivors alive. So they were at least 84 then.
I couldn't load life tables for Germany but I found life tables from Australia, which has about 1 years longer life expectancy than Germany. I estimate a 0.5% chance that an 84 year old Australian lives another 21 years. That works out to 16% chance that at least one of the 35 survive.
I can't find a source for the number of Russian survivors. Russia had more survivors but their life expectancy is 10 years lower than Germany.
@cockathiel this might be just the ones who were captured by Russians, I don't know if there were any who escaped before that.
