It will vastly trim down features. There will be no in-app market creation. There will be a single toggle at the top right of the screen that switches between sweeps and play, showing only questions that have a sweeps-counterpart. Ideally its niche(s) it targets will have recurring, live content that offer opportunities to bet alongside the events. The current app/site will in essence be Manifold Pro (not necessarily renamed), so features that you love shouldn't go away.
This market will resolve when the new app is made available on the app store.
N/A if we don't create it, but I think it is >85% likely we do create it. We're targeting launch in January.

The thing is the thing I love about this app and what I think is it’s differentiating feature is the ability to create markets. To me that is what makes manifold the most attractive prediction market platform. I don’t think that the UI here is too complex just that the entry barrier to sweepstakes is too high. In an ideal world I would hope that you try to minimize those barriers and open it up to people outside the us.
@TimothyJohnson5c16 I quite like it and think it’s very clever, but if they really are planing on having it be the new default then the “mini” aspect may not fit that vision.
(This is assuming the app catches on anyway, which is not a given.)
@GleamingRhino ah, it’s possible we don’t rename the current site to manifold pro, I’ll edit the description
