The Titanic-bound submersible that went missing on Sunday with five people on board suffered a “catastrophic implosion,” killing everyone on board, US Coast Guard Rear Adm. John Mauger said Thursday.

The tail cone and other debris from the missing Titan submersible were found about 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic.

We have just had an update from dive expert David Mearns, who says the debris includes "a landing frame and a rear cover from the submersible".

Mearns is a friend of passengers aboard the Titan.

what is the definition of located? e.g. Do they know in general what area its in, say, for a 2 mile radius? Or just have an actual visual on it, e.g. camera, to send back to media?

@Blomfilter For me located would have to be an almost exact location, whether that be cameras or some other sensor data. In the event they think they found it, but can not confirm, I will close but wait to resolve the market until there is confirmation.
