I have placed a deposit on a low-mileage (slightly under 1,500 miles) 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV and will finalize the purchase & receive the car next week (probably on September 30, 2025).
According to the Carfax report, the car has not been in any accidents. According to the salesman (he seems very much like a typical salesman so I wouldn't take this too seriously), the previous owner (a fellow employee at the dealership) bought the car for his wife under his own name, and then they began divorce proceedings a few months later, which is why the car was returned after such a short period and with such low mileage.
This market resolves to YES if, between the final date of purchase and December 31, 2026, the vehicle must be taken to a certified dealership or independent auto repair shop for any non-routine service, repair, recall, or diagnosis.
This market resolves to NO if, by January 1, 2027, the vehicle has not been taken in for any non-routine service, repair, recall, or diagnosis.
The following DO NOT count as a "non-routine visit":
Scheduled maintenance (e.g., tire rotations, cabin air filter changes)
Damage caused by an accident, vandalism, or user error
Repair or replacement of normal wear-and-tear items (e.g., tires, windshield wipers)
Recalls performed through over-the-air software updates (does Chevy even do this?)
