CS 168: Introduction to the Internet is a computer science class at UC Berkeley. It is in high demand - the class filled up before I had the chance to sign up, despite the fact that I am a senior and so have high priority, so I was put on the waitlist at position 93.
The class has 217 students, and is currently completely full. Here is a recent chart of my waitlist position over time - I am currently at position 2.

Feb 7: Add-drop deadline, at 11:59 PM
During the first lecture, the instructor mentioned that the class would not be expanding, and said to drop the class now if you are planning to drop, so I expect that the current rate of drops is higher than what I can expect in the future.
I plan to stay on the waitlist until I either get in or reach the add/drop deadline of February 7, the point at which I will be automatically dropped from the waitlist if I am still on it.
Please feel free to request any additional information. I won't trade on this question.
I may try to get in through asking my advisor to enroll me manually or something, if I get in through that I'll N/A this question.

I'm confused why people are giving me low ratings for this resolution. Did I cause anyone to lose mana by buying 3000 yes and then resolving, right at the end? I didn't take any limit orders, and the alternative was just that I resolved it YES while it was at 60%. I know I said I wouldn't trade on this question, and I didn't trade up until 10 seconds before resolving, which I felt was just a trade to take free mana from the automated market maker and not taking advantage of anyone. Would be happy for someone to explain.
@dominic Can people take too many classes, check each out, and decide which to drop on the last day of add drop? That’s what they do at my uni and the waitlist gets emptied on the last day often even when it barely moved before then.
@TheBayesian They can, but add drop is pretty late here so I don’t think it happens super often (eg I would not expect 10 drops on that day)
