How might Manifold become “markets for reputation”?

I was reading this post by Erik Torenberg about reputation markets and wondered whether Manifold could solve the problem he outlined of using markets to value one’s reputation.

There have been attempts at this in Manifold that I don’t feel have worked well. Stonks never resolve and don’t seem to translate to anything tangible (ie not a Klout score) and “Will X be involved in a scandal” markets are binary in nature.
I’ll give out this bounty to the most compelling comment.
I’ll also give a small portion of bounty to anyone who can tell me how to close/resolve/get my funds back from this test stonk I created 🤣
