I will resolve yes to any option I try, and feel glad/happy that I did. If I regret I'll resolve no, if I'm ambivalent or don't try by close they will resolve NA. I'll try to be biased towards trying new things, even if they are at sub 50% and especially if above. I'll also be biased towards resolving not NA once I try something.

If you have a suggestion for an option, comment it and I'll consider adding it, if it resolves yes I'll send you 300 mana minimum, or a reasonable fraction of the utility I got from trying your suggestion if I feel it's higher.

Seems like I should probably try to learn to dance. Does anyone invested in yes have an opinion on which type of dancing classes I should sign up to? If there aren't any opinions I'll probably sign up to Salsa because I have a friend whose been going for a while and enjoys it

Read all the Booker prize novels for the last 20 years. (Substitute with another award if you prefer)

@Odoacre Maybe Hugo? Though Booker prize might be more novel since I haven't read any of the winners. I think I will add one of these, it's of the proper scale for what I imagined for this market. What do you think?

@colorednoise It's up to you of course, whatever you think would be more interesting. Personally I think I'd do the booker, if i wanted a challenge (while most of them are fine to excellent, some of them are not really my thing and I hate reading books I don't find myself invested in), and the Hugo if I wanted to have more fun. Alternatively you could do the Hugo AND the Booker for the last 10 years.

See the eclipse

@derikk I'm in the middle east, do you think the travel is worth it?

Ask someone out on a date

@Sinclair I think it's very likely that would happen by the closing date anyway based on my base "asking someone on date" rate when single

Spaced repetition reviews (eg Anki)

@derikk Already do Anki daily :) would have resolved yes

Going to take the first Amitriptyline pill now

By the way, if I try something like "learn to dance" or "workout every day for a month" and fail to finish it, I will probably still resolve Yes/No based on if I'm glad I tried it (compared to whatever the opprotunity cost was), and not NA.

Trying weightlifting every day for a month

You are much better off lifting hard 3x a week. Rest is part of the equation. If you don't need rest, you're not training nearly hard enough. Check out Renaissance Periodization on YouTube.

Lets do a batch:

Train a neural network

Learn chemistry/physics/math

Do absolutely nothing for an entire weekend

Try switching to Linux (if not already)

Build a VanDeGraaph generator

Taste hydroxylic acid

Climb a mountain

@CyfralCoot

Train a neural network - already done

Learn chemistry/physics/math - i majored in physics and computer science and i know lots of math, but maybe i can add "learn chemistry"?

Do absolutely nothing for an entire weekend - already done

Try switching to Linux - already a linux user

Taste hydroxylic acid - already a heavy drinker of hydroxylic acid :P

Haven't done the last two, I'll add stuff in a batch tonight, maybe including those + learn chemistry (do you have a way to make it more specific?)

@colorednoise oh wow I didn't know you've already done so much. Don't even know anymore what to suggest.

I'm a chemist myself, and I started learning it a very long time ago, so I don't know exactly which section to recommend to learn, given that I don't know what you know.

@CyfralCoot I don't think I know any chemistry, like beyond ph levels

Trying amitriptyline for my chronic headaches

If you try amitriptyline and it doesn't help you, will you resolve No (because it failed) or Yes (because you're glad you tried)?

@Shemetz I expect that if there are no side effects and no benefits I'll resolve yes, since I've been curious about this for a while, but if I spend a couple weeks being miserable for no benefit I'll resolve no

Trying weightlifting every day for a month

@Paul added

@colorednoise would not recommend weightlifting every single day if you haven't lifted before or stopped for a long time. You will likely be extremely sore after the first few workouts, 2-4 times a week is more reasonable.

@Pzet Thanks, though I already do weightlift twice a week
