The Model Context Protocol (MCP) enables AI models to access external tools and capabilities. Currently, MCP requires additional server infrastructure and is not natively supported by base models like Claude, GPT, etc. This market resolves YES if by January 1, 2026, at least two major foundation model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Meta, etc.) have released versions of their base models that natively support the MCP protocol without requiring additional server setup. Native support means: - The model can directly invoke MCP tools - The capability is built into the base model API - No additional server infrastructure is required beyond the model API itself Resolution will be based on official documentation and announcements from the model providers.
