Intended Major

joint degree in Math & CS at oxford right now

@ mit: also math&cs, although also:

@ stanf: MCS was discontinued from stanford? maybe a double major in math/cs, also:

  • no pirate degree :<

  • maybe symbolic systems intead of a double major

Standardized Testing

1560 SAT, 760 E/800 M

UW/W GPA

4.95/5.0 UW

APs, Honors, and College Level Classes

5 on APs Calc BC, CS, Stats, Bio. All math at college level, other classes accredited. 4 on AP Physics C: Mech with self study and 4 on AP Lang when I had to leave the exam over an hour early. Don't take exams in diff locations on the same day. Bad idea.

Demographics

USA citizen, Asian, Masc.

Extracurricular Information

Fencing (A22, prev. nationally ranked about top 90-100), referee as well.

Internship at a startup now valued over 7 mill

head of Philosophy Club, ran really well

Math Team... Captain? Lead? Founder? Idk, I started it and do it, passing the reins off when I leave the school though, we win a lot

Math Tournaments (first/top 6 in a lot of college hosted tournaments)

Attended hs math programs, planning on being a JC over the summer. Attended PAIR/ASPR. Gave lectures/tutored as a participant at several programs for undergraduate/graduate math.

Accepted to the MIT PRIMES track for math research in 2024. working on cs/bio problems

Don't really think about this too much, since I just do what is to be done :P, theres more but prob dont want to put it down rn

Awards

Top 5 at research competition, presented/published at conference, several good fencing results.

See math tournaments results from before. Top ~7% in the USA from AIME scores.

Fencing results as well, multiple medals and national ranking.

I don't really think about this too much? I'm omitting some things for privacy + forgetfulness. theres some more but again yep

Any Other Information

applied to oxford as a junior. will go in the fall. will apply to transfer to "simulate" college applications as if i was a senior, planning on applying to Stanford + MIT. the main benefits of these schools is the NCAA fencing as I really want to continue fencing in university, and being in the USA more seems nice.

if i find that univ is not the college for me, oxford does allow for migraiton. i highly doubt this will happen unless there is a really large reason why.

College here is similar to the UK definition where oxford is a university which is a collection of colleges.
