Resolution Criteria
This market resolves YES if the Bitcoin price (BTC/USD) is higher at the end of the 5-minute window than at the start. Resolution will be determined using real-time price data from CoinMarketCap or another major exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance). The specific price point at market creation serves as the baseline; any increase above this baseline within 5 minutes resolves YES. If the price remains flat or decreases, the market resolves NO.
Background
Cryptocurrency prices are quite volatile, meaning Bitcoin's price changes by the minute. The crypto market operates 24/7, driven by global sentiment, news cycles, and social media buzz. Over very short timeframes like 5 minutes, price movements are heavily influenced by immediate trading activity and order flow rather than fundamental factors.
Considerations
Bitcoin trades continuously across multiple global exchanges with varying prices at any given moment. For resolution purposes, a single authoritative source should be selected at market creation to avoid disputes over which exchange's price is used as the reference point.
