Resolution Criteria: Official Valve pricing for the 512GB Steam Machine model compared to PS5 Pro MSRP of $749.99. Check https://store.steampowered.com/hardware and https://www.playstation.com/en-us/ps5/. In the event that the PS5 Pro receives a price cut before the Steam Machine releases, the Steam Machine MSRP will be compared to the PS5 Pro MSRP on November 13th, 2025 ($749.99 USD).
Resolves when Valve officially announces the Steam Machine MSRP.
CLARIFICATION 05/04/2026: The rules stated that the PS5 Pro MSRP of $749.99 will be used in the event of a price cut; the same $749.99 figure overrides the current $899.99 MSRP.

Thanks for the free mana, whoever bet this up so high! PS5 Pro has 4x the storage, twice as much (expensive) video RAM (albeit without nearly as much normal DDR5), a higher-spec (albeit older architecture) CPU with 33% more cores, and a faster GPU with way more compute units.
Comparing that base Steam Machine to base PS5 might be interesting... That's a much closer match.
