"The coastguard said on its website the cause of the fire was unknown, but a coastguard spokesperson had earlier told Reuters it began near an electric car. Roughly 25 out of 2,857 vehicles on the ship were electric."

I'll be looking for some kind of official accident report for the resolution.

@mods OP has deleted, resolves NO.

All the electric cars on board were recovered without fire damage. I suppose not yet an official report, but seems quite certain.

@EvanDaniel thanks. As stated in the criteria I'll wait for an official report, but seems very likely at this point.

"There is still no clear statement from the investigating authorities as to how the fire on the ship "Fremantle Highway" started - but according to the first signs, it was probably not an electric car. According to previous investigations, all of the approximately 500 charged electric cars on board are still in good condition, some even undamaged, as reported by the Dutch media."
