Resolves to PSG and Dortmund.

Definitely the most exciting of the eight groups this time around - with a few minutes to go it looked like Newcastle were going through and in the end they didn't even qualify for the Europa League!

These markets resolve to 50% for each of the two qualifying teams. In future, it will probably make sense for markets like this to be unlinked markets where each team can resolve to 100% - but those kind of unlinked markets didn't exist when I created this year's group stage markets back in September!

Paris Saint-Germain

PSG has Mbappe, the French National star player in its arsenal. PSG also has a record of scoring the highest number of goals in the group stage of the Champions league.

They reached the finals in 2019-2020 UEFA champions without losing a match except the last one to eventual winner Bayern Munich. They finished first in their group stage matches for 3 years in a row from 2017 to 2020.

This leaves modal performance for PSG in the group stages to be a first and an occasional second, therefore tilting the odds in their favor to qualify out of Group F.

sold Ṁ2 of Newcastle United YES
  1. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG):

    • PSG is the French champion and boasts a high UEFA coefficient ranking.

    • They have a strong squad with key players like Kylian Mbappé and a talented coach in Luis Enrique.

    • The signing of Ousmane Dembélé adds to their attacking firepower.

    • Despite their Round of 16 exit in the previous season, PSG has the potential to go far in the competition.

  2. Milan:

    • Milan had a strong performance in the previous season, reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League.

    • They have an experienced coach in Stefano Pioli and a key player in Rafael Leão.

    • The addition of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Malick Thiaw strengthens their squad.

    • Milan's recent success and experience in the competition make them strong contenders.

Dortmund and Newcastle are also competitive teams, but PSG and Milan seem to have more experience and depth to secure the top two spots in the group. However, football is unpredictable, and anything can happen in the Champions League, so surprises are always possible.

Borussia Dortmund will qualify in Group F because:

They did really good in the German Bundesliga last year (ending second) and are playing a strong season so far with no losses in all competitions from dortmund recent games - Search (bing.com)
