This market predicts whether Apple or Google will launch native stablecoin functionality through Apple Wallet, Apple Pay, Google Wallet or Google Pay before 1 January 2029.

Resolution criteria

YES: At least one of the companies makes a stablecoin feature publicly available to eligible consumers through its first-party mobile wallet or payment service by 31 December 2028, 23:59 UTC.

To qualify, the feature must:

- Support a blockchain-based fiat-pegged stablecoin, such as USDC or USDT.

- Allow users to hold, send, receive or spend stablecoins directly within the first-party wallet or payment service.

- Be available to real consumers in at least one country, rather than being limited to a demonstration or closed beta.

NO: Neither company meets these conditions before the deadline.

Third-party cryptocurrency apps, ordinary card payments, developer APIs, product announcements and stablecoin infrastructure offered solely to businesses do not independently qualify.

Verification sources: Official Apple or Google product announcements, support documentation and evidence of public availability. Independent reporting may be used for corroboration.

The market may resolve YES early once qualifying functionality is verified. Otherwise, it will resolve NO after the deadline. If reliable evidence cannot establish the outcome, it may resolve N/A.

Only qualifying features first made publicly available on or after 10 October 2026 will count toward a YES resolution.
