Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to YES if Dr. Anthony Fauci is publicly and credibly confirmed to have passed away on or before December 31, 2027, at 11:59 PM UTC. It will resolve to NO if he remains alive on January 1, 2028 (UTC).

The market will resolve based on announcements from official family representatives, or reports from major, reputable news organizations (such as the Associated Press, Reuters, or The New York Times).

Background

Dr. Anthony Fauci (born December 24, 1940) is an American physician-scientist and immunologist who served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022. He also served as the Chief Medical Advisor to the President from 2021 to 2022. Over his career, he advised seven U.S. presidents on numerous global health crises, most notably the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic.
