market resolves to YES if we get the grant. I expect to hear back by mid-May but that's just a guess. Apr 25, 4:48pm: I forgot to specify! the grant is for a 3 month pilot, so the amount is $9K May 24, 8:30am: Just heard back from the grantmaker (actually they had been trying to contact me and i missed the emails, 'doh! CEA has a very fast turnaround). For the specific community building program I applied to, the money is earmarked for paying for projects that have full or part time organizers involved, and so they were unable to give me the grant. The grantor kindly spent some time with me to give me feedback and help me refine the idea. It sounds like I would have to have a clearer theory of change (e.g. everyone works their regular job 4 days a week and works on EA related projects one day a week) for it to go through.
