Resolution Criteria

This market resolves YES if James Harden is traded, released, or otherwise leaves the Los Angeles Clippers before or on the 2025-26 NBA trade deadline on February 5, 2026. This includes any mid-season trade or release. The market resolves NO if Harden remains with the Clippers through the trade deadline.

Resolution will be determined via official NBA transaction records at NBA.com.

Background

Harden signed a 2-year, $81.5 million contract with the Clippers, earning $39.2 million in 2025-26. He cannot be traded until December 15, 2025. Harden scored just seven points in the Clippers' Game 7 loss to the Nuggets in the 2024-25 playoffs, and hasn't made it past the conference semifinals since 2018.

Considerations

The NBA's trade deadline for the 2025-26 season is February 5 at 3:00 pm Eastern time. Given Harden's trade restriction until mid-December, the actual window for a potential trade is roughly 7 weeks. The Clippers would likely be reluctant to trade an All-Star caliber player for minimal return, though significant roster underperformance could shift their calculus.
