Background

Saquon Barkley has been a dominant force this season, accumulating 2,005 rushing yards in the regular season and 442 yards in the playoffs. He's coming off a strong performance in the NFC Championship game where he rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns against the Washington Commanders. The Kansas City Chiefs have demonstrated strong run defense capabilities, ranking 4th in the league in yards allowed per rush (4.1) and 11th in defensive rush success rate (61.0%).

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve based on Saquon Barkley's official rushing yards statistics in Super Bowl LIX (59) against the Kansas City Chiefs, scheduled for February 9, 2025. Only rushing yards will be counted - receiving yards are excluded. If Barkley does not play in the game due to injury or any other reason, or if either team does not make it to the Super Bowl, the market will resolve N/A. If the Super Bowl is postponed but still played within the 2024-25 NFL season, the market will resolve based on that game.

Considerations

  • The Eagles heavily rely on their running game, but the Chiefs' defense presents a tougher challenge than recent opponents

  • Weather conditions at Allegiant Stadium (indoor) won't be a factor

  • Game script could significantly impact rushing attempts - if the Eagles fall behind early, they may need to pass more frequently

  • The Chiefs' ability to limit turnovers could reduce the Eagles' offensive possessions
