YES

The amendment to Ohio's constitution is scheduled for a vote on Nov 7 this year. If it passes, this resolves YES. If it fails, or if it doesn't end up being voted on by the end of November for some reason, this resolves NO.

it hasn't passed yet... doesn't pass until the 24th. there is absentee ballots coming in on the 14th.

@JosephMartinjr3rdcoyote Officially, yes, but generally it's bad practice to leave people waiting for another two weeks for something that's purely a formality. The amendment already had >50% of the votes the moment that polls closed, and now enough of the votes have been counted that all major news networks agree that there is no possible way for No to take the lead.

@JosephMartinjr3rdcoyote And if something really crazy happened where the votes were somehow misreported, I could just unresolve this.

@JosephNoonan the issue is the absentee ballots. excluding last trump vote generally, they are conservative votes. this could easily mess with the votes depending on the numbers.

predicted YES

@JosephMartinjr3rdcoyote "Depending on the numbers" is the key phrase there. The vote is nowhere near close enough for absentee ballots to affect the result. If it was, the race wouldn't have been called yet. News outlets don't project races when the results might be flipped by outstanding votes. Most outlets don't project a winner even when all votes have been counted if the results are close enough to be flipped by a recount.

Looks like most outlets are projecting this one passing now. I see projections from DDHQ, NYT, and WNBS. I'll check other outlets to see if they're projecting it, too.

predicted YES

Currently 65%, enough to have passed even if the previous Issue 1 (which would have increased the threshold for a Constitutional amendment to 60%) had succeeded. But it will likely narrow up as more votes come in (20% are in currently).
