I'm considering resolving this as YES, due to these things from news:
https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20240123-iguanas-are-falling-from-trees-due-to-cold-florida-temperatures-experts-say-its-not-due-to-climate-change

I remember looking in like January and saw news articles that were like "this might happen" and none that said "this is happening"/"this has happened", but this time I found those two saying "this is happening". Combined with @Arky 's comment it would push me towards YES. The problem is that that is officially stated as local news on the website. I am still not confident resolving this as YES because in 2022, there were dozens of news stories and videos mentioning falling iguanas in Miami.
@PeterKolyvski AxiosMiami is local news, but the BBC isn't, so does it count? I guess it's kind of an edge case in that it's national news, but for a different country than the one that the news happened in.
I think this should count: https://www.axios.com/local/miami/2024/01/31/cold-iguana-stunned-florida
