Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Argentina wins the 2026 FIFA World Cup final and Lionel Messi is a member of the winning squad.

The market resolves to NO if Argentina loses the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.

In the highly unlikely event that Argentina loses the 2026 final but Messi does not retire and goes on to win a subsequent FIFA World Cup, that would also resolve the market to YES. However, if Argentina loses the 2026 final, the market will resolve to NO unless Messi officially announces within 30 days of the final that he intends to continue playing for the national team through the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

Whether Messi plays in the final match itself does not affect resolution, provided he is a registered member of the official tournament squad.
