Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if Aaron Donald officially unretires and signs a player contract with any NFL team, or is officially added to an NFL team's active roster, practice squad, or reserve list, by the market's close date.
The market resolves to NO if he does not officially unretire by the designated date.
Resolution Guidelines:
Active Player Status: Re-signing as a coach, consultant, front-office member, or signing a ceremonial one-day contract to retire with a specific team does not count as unretiring. He must sign a contract as an active NFL player.
Source of Truth: Official league transactions (NFL.com), announcements from the Los Angeles Rams, or confirmation from reputable sports news outlets (e.g., ESPN, NFL Network, or major reporters like Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport) will be used to verify the outcome.
Note to Creator: You are encouraged to edit this description to specify a target cutoff date (e.g., "by the end of the 2026-2027 NFL regular season") if you have a specific timeframe in mind.
Background
Aaron Donald officially announced his retirement on March 15, 2024, concluding an illustrious 10-season career with the St. Louis / Los Angeles Rams. Widely considered one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, Donald retired with three AP Defensive Player of the Year awards, eight First-team All-Pro selections, and a Super Bowl championship. Despite frequent speculation and occasional calls from peers and commentators to return to the field, Donald has consistently maintained that he is content in retirement and has no desire to return to professional football.
