This question will be resolved as yes if any of the G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union) adopts a universal basic income (UBI) program that provides regular and unconditional cash payments to all adult citizens, regardless of their income or employment status, by December 31, 2028. The program must cover at least 90% of the eligible population and provide a minimum amount that is above the poverty line in each country. The program must be enacted by the national government and not depend on regional or local variations. The question will be resolved as no if none of the G7 countries meets these criteria by the end of 2028. The question will be based on official sources from the respective governments and international organizations.
