Resolution criteria
The market resolves based on who is appointed as the permanent president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta following Raphael Bostic's retirement on February 28, 2026. Resolution will be determined by official announcement from the Atlanta Fed's board of directors. If no successor is appointed by February 28, 2026, Cheryl Venable will assume the duties of president on an interim basis, in which case the market resolves to "Other" or N/A pending a permanent appointment. For official announcements, see: https://www.atlantafed.org/
Background
Raphael Bostic, the 15th president of the Atlanta Fed since June 2017, announced his intention to retire at the end of his current term on February 28, 2026. The Atlanta Fed's board of directors will form a search committee comprised of non-banking members to conduct a nationwide search for the next president, consistent with Federal Reserve policies and the Federal Reserve Act. Bostic's replacement will be selected by the Atlanta Fed's board of directors, which are made up of local business and community leaders, not the Trump administration.
