[POTENTIAL SPOILER FOR DOCTOR WHO CHRISTMAS SPECIAL 2023]
# Background
Mrs Flood is the neighbour of new companion Ruby Sunday, who appears in the special Christmas episode of 'Doctor Who' entitled 'The Church on Ruby Road'. While initially seemed unimportant, she sparked many theories as she broke the fourth wall by asking the audience, "Never seen a TARDIS before? ;)". This has happened only a few times over sixty years. Her character evolves significantly throughout the episode, from a grouchy neighbour to someone who appears to know a great deal about the TARDIS. This sudden shift in her character, along with her direct address to the camera, has sparked numerous fan theories about her true identity.
# Resolution Criteria
- YES, if it is a character already seen or mentioned before the new season.
Special case:
Someone related biologically to Ruby or Ruby herself
Someone related to River Song or Amy Pond
A reincarnation of a known Time Lord (Rani, Master, Doctor, ...)
- NO, if it is a completely new character or Mrs Flood was just altered (by the Goblins or someone else)
# Closure Time
The market will close on May 1st as the new season's release date is unknown. Once the release date is announced, the market will be open until then. If the true identity is not disclosed in the first episode, the market will be re-opened until the next episode (when I've seen the previous episode), and so on, until the question is settled.
@NcyRocks @Martinus42 I mean, I'm an interested party here with somewhat inside info. (I pay attention to production statements + leaks.) I'm hardly unbiased. What I will say is that if this is kept open indefinitely there's a nonzero chance we'll just never get a resolution.
