I had removalists come today. They moved everything and did a great job, and this included a very heavy bed. I had asked about the surcharge for this (mentioning it was heavy), and the removalist said it would be $60 to take it upstairs.
After the work is completed, he adds an extra $80 heavy item fee. He admitted that he forgot to mention it yesterday but it's standard. I refused to pay it, paying instead the price agreed.
He says this isn't fair via phone and text. I've told him to take it to small claims court if he wants to bring it further.
A year from today, if I've received any sort of legal action (including an angry letter, as long as it's from a law firm or at least notorised) I'll resolve YES. Otherwise resolves NO.
If a manifolder inside trades and somehow causes the guy to sue me, then this will resolve N/A to discourage such behaviour.
@AndrewHartman there's a lot more context but I wanted to keep it short. Suffice it to say, the company owner is a piece of work.
