Dartford Labour councillor Ricky Jones has been arrested and is being held on "suspicion of encouraging murder and for an offence under the Public Order Act".
In a clip on social media, a man, alleged to be Ricky Jones, is filmed saying "They are disgusting Nazi fascists and we need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all."
During the current unrest in the UK, many have made the allegation to the criminal justice system and the government that there is a 'two tier' justice system. I'm hoping that this poll will shed some light on the true public opinion on it. I have set the bar to one year, rather than two, which appears to be the most common lower bar of recent sentencings, to attempt to compensate for any perceived difference in the alleged offences.
- Ryan Sheers and Steven Mallen, jailed for two years and two months; according to TeesideLive:
"Former postmaster and school governor Steven Mailen, 54, and his partner Ryan Sheers, 29, were captured dancing and gesticulating at a line of police officers on Murray Street in Hartlepool as the crowd behind them roared on the evening of July 31. Mailen shouted abuse at an officer, who repeatedly warned him to "get back."
Mailen refused, and was hit by a police baton on his leg. His partner, Sheers, shouted abuse as he tried to push through the line of five police officers. He was bitten on the hip and the right buttock by a police dog, which prompted the crowd to disperse.
Mailen tried to free his partner from the dog, and he grabbed a police officer's radio, which had fallen to the ground. A scuffle broke out as it took three police officers to arrest Mailen and get him into a police van.""
- Jordan Parlour from leeds faces a maximum sentence of 7 years for " using threatening words or behaviour intending to stir up racial hatred." On Facebook. To be clear, he has not been convicted or sentenced.

This will resolve to true if the conviction is longer than one year in detention, no matter what the charges are. It is set to end at the end of 2025, but this is to allow for sentencing to take place, should it be drawn out.
If Mr Jones is released without charge, and the case dropped, the market will resolve to no, even if a new charge is made against him within the time of the market and he is convicted on it.
Provisional trial date set to 20 January 2025. https://news.sky.com/story/ricky-jones-suspended-labour-councillor-denies-encouraging-violent-disorder-13210653
