As far as I know, the official Midnight Sun playlist (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2IyA0z2REZJtAcCZxLM7cF?si=K0YxklcEQB2d06M40lVOqA) - mostly replicated here with at least two songs currently missing including the new one and "The Dark Is Rising" by Mercury Rev -(https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLs1LmOscc1Z1T8yTOZJz5ob0b898_HWK5) remained in stasis from its release in August of 2020 until sometime this year, when Meyer added "The Truth Untold" by BTS featuring Steve Aoki to the lead spot following the commissioned "title card" song, "Crooked Ways". I am not aware of Meyer having made any other changes to any of her book companion playlists after release. This market resolves 'yes' if, sometime before January 1st, 2025, the playlist remains up, but "The Truth Untold" has been removed - replaced or unreplaced - for at least 3 weeks, or if it is missing on Jan 1, 2025.
@asmith The part of the playlist slash book plot where she inserted it (the first Midnight Sun lunchroom scene) was always sort of in need of a song, but it's tough to find a good song for that part because of the weird combination of banality and intensity. I think the BTS song superficially passes for fitting the part, but actually breaks the flow, and she'll eventually realize this and cut it again.
