• I mainly drink in social settings but occasionally just with certain foods

• I drink less than the average for my demographics

• However, I have probably never gone a full month without drinking any alcohol since starting to drink around 18 or so

• I decided to try Dry January on a whim ater listening to a news story about it

• I will regularly be in some social settings with drinking during this month

• This is mainly just an experiment and I don't feel strongly invested in it emotionally (either positive or negative)

• However, I generally “commit to the bit” and see something through when I decide to do it
