After his bond was reduced to $175 million, Trump tried to post it earlier this week, ahead of the April 4 deadline (today). The NY court rejected his filing, though, due to defective paperwork. It appears the fault may not be his:

""The financial statement that is missing does not seem to be Trump's. Rather, the court appears to be demanding these documents from Knight Specialty Insurance Co. to ensure that the company is sufficiently capitalized and authorized to post the bond," Rubin wrote on Wednesday."

Will Trump manage to make an effective filing by the end of April 4?

How will this resolve if the deadline is extended?

@ChadCotty Great question. I'd resolve as "no," on the grounds that people have traded under the criteria as originally stated.

Realistically it's unlikely that they would permit the AG to begin enforcement proceedings even if he is a day or two late on the bond filing, FWIW.
