The South Carolina GOP Primary is on Saturday, polls close at 7 ET.
This market resolves based on the speech Nikki Haley gives after the South Carolina GOP Primary on Saturday night. I'm assuming it's a concession speech, but if she wins then her victory speech counts.
Feel free to add in bets of your own, but please nothing too hard to keep track of like the specific number of times she says a word or anything too subjective like "frames the outcome as actually a win." I reserve the right to edit answers for clarity or N/A answers for any reason.
You can find more markets on the primary on the South Carolina Dashboard.
@shankypanky Yup none I can find. I think I can start resolving now.
@shankypanky "Y'all are a rowdy bunch but I love that about you" seems like a compliment to me, although she was talking to the crowd? I'd still call that broad as opposed to a specific person though. Oh and then she says "the good people of south carolina" shortly after. Resolves yes.
@Joshua yeah I would have counted the rowdy bunch comment because she's in SC and was referring to the people in the crowd. but later it was less of a grey area because "the good/great people of South Carolina" is pretty direct.
@Joshua annoyingly I can't link you to a specific time on a live vid but there's a point when she references Gresham Barrett and how they "duked it out" in her run for Governor but I'm not sure whether you want to count that for this resolution. That's right around the time NBC cut out and I jumped over to Fox.
@shankypanky She definitely seemed to be making a lot of callbacks to times in the past with other south carolina politicians but I'm not sure what was specifically talking about when she was governor. And I'm not sure that referencing running for governor is the same as talking about when she was governor?
I think this resolves No unless I missed something.
