Resolution Criteria:
This market resolves to YES if Grand Theft Auto VI is announced as the winner of "Game of the Year" during either the 2026 or 2027 ceremonies of The Game Awards (hosted by Geoff Keighley).Specific Conditions:
The Window: If the game wins in 2026 or 2027, this resolves YES.
Missed Cutoff: If the game is released late in 2027 (after the November cutoff) and becomes eligible for the 2028 awards instead, this market resolves NO.
Delays: If the game is delayed such that it is not eligible until the 2028 awards or later, this market resolves NO.
Loss: If the game is nominated in 2026 or 2027 but loses to another game, this resolves NO.
"Spirit of the Question" & Edge Cases:
This market resolves according to the spirit of the inquiry:
Show Changes: If The Game Awards show is produced by someone else but is still generally recognized as the successor to the current "The Game Awards," it counts.
Game Name: If the game is titled slightly differently (e.g., Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories II) but is generally considered the mainline successor to GTA V, it counts.
