NO

Will resolve using the date labeled "Submitted By:" in the speedrun.com, UI.

EDIT: Since I didn't specify a version or Amiibo vs No Amiibo, I'll use whatever combo is fastest (currently Amiibo/pre v1.1.2).

It’s now under 42:00. Can anyone do it if we give them another six months?

On a literal reading of the title, if I go submit an obviously-fake one-second time the market should resolve YES. I think it's worth clarifying that this doesn't count?

@April That wouldn’t count, because while it would be a video submitted in the Any% category, that does not make it an Any% speedrun. The market title requires that the submission is an Any% speedrun.

predicted YES

43 minutes and 41 seconds is the current record. This is going to be close.

Having played through most of the tutorial area, I don't think this is possible without major glitches, and the game is apparently not very buggy this time around. Speedrunners could prove me wrong, but I don't think it's possible to reach the final boss this quickly. Could be looking at a cap on Any% runs in the same general realm as Skyward Sword, i.e. 70ish minutes.

@evergreenemily This aged poorly: they're down to 49:42.

There's gonna be one by next month at this rate...
