Requires official releases of Adobe Photoshop for any (GNU/)Linux distribution.
Snap, Flatpak, etc. built for Linux (with some containerization) resolve YES.
Cross-platform technology like a move to Electron or a new app using a similar approach resolves YES. A move to fully platform agnostic approach like Photoshop as a service you run through a browser on their GPUs rather than locally resolves YES.
Every year after a year resolves YES also resolves yes up to the 2029 which is the cutoff. 2030 or later is indistinguishable from “never” for this question as I do not currently expect to most of us to use Manifold 5+ years from now.
Windows apps or MacOS apps running through a compatibility layer like WINE/Proton do not resolve YES, unless that compatibility layer is distributed by or officially supported by Adobe similar to how Valve distributes and supports Proton for Steam applications.
Each year resolves NO if Adobe ceases to exist without releasing any apps which fulfill the requirements.
