Take time to reflect on what things we accomplished (individually, and as a team) that we're especially proud of!

This both gives us cause to celebrate, and also lets us double down on processes and ideas that are working~

Mostly, this market is for the Manifold team; don't expect the probabilities, etc to mean much other than like a subjective vote on how much you agree with a particular statement, or how much you want to discuss it.

[J] Performance improvements, and looks great. Tooltip issue fixed. Avatar of bet on hover.

[i] Spices up the home page.

[J] Makes Manifold look innovative

spices up the home page

[all] Yay!

[i] Have you decided on a name? "Stonk" "Stonker"

[J] Huge influx of new users; brand new, idealistic; interesting to see how they use our site. Shows great potential, could branch out to a lot more groups like this with thier own niche

[A] Shoutout to David for noticing this, and engaging with them, asking for feedback. Helps us tailor our feature set. We should all be in the habit of talking to our users

[D] Had a specific use-case of orbiter stocks. Should keep in mind use cases when pitching to users. Like pitch World Cup markets

@Austin Time for futures!

@SneakySly You know me so well~

[J] A while back; but making the core bet experience easier to use is super important

[i] Really cool, non-power users could also like it. More filters based on interest. Pretty entertaining.

[D] I've pinned it to the top of my home page.

[i] Could comment on bets that they saw. Lots of potential for discovery and engagement.

[J] Sense is that we try a lot of new things like Live Feed; but it would be good to double down on it and make it really excellent. Atm, we're split up between a lot of initiatives

[J] Power users really enjoy clicking into this

[i] Think this is really cool! If we made it a bit more designed for the individual users, this would be great. Every social media app is a live feed, very entertaining!

[J] With a strategic, random adding of liquidity, our markets are much better to use!

[c] Really exciting potential for new growth!

[D] Plan for advertising — wait for a few days? [i] Yeah, wait for a few more bug reports.

[J] Wait for iOS for big announcement

[S] Looks really nice, a big improvement!

[A] A team effort from a lot of people. James, Inga, Fede, Sinclair

@JamesGrugett We didn't really do much to achieve this expect building a good site ^^

One point of reflection is that it was literally a single user sharing a link to a couple of markets and it organically took off. The biggest difference it seems to have is the fact that there was already a very specific use case people wanted to use it for (and also easier to advertise/share it by saying, "hey! come to this site and u can bet on orbiter stocks".

In the past we have maybe branded to much as: "Here is our site where u can do tons of different things on - shares a list of all it's potential use cases". Should start thinking more how we can target specific groups and brand heavily how they can do "x specific thing they are interested in" on our site.

@DavidChee Lot's of comments like this (~10+ over past week) on reddit. Most don't get many likes but a few have taken off.

We didn't do anything super special for this to happen and yet it was a good bump in our user count AND the bump seems to be kinda sticky

@JamesGrugett cycle is good. linear is good but marginal

October retro: What went well?, 8k, beautiful, illustration, trending on art station, picture of the day, epic composition
