A debate between Abdul El-Sayed and Mike Rogers will occur on October 8 at 7pm ET.

Resolves according to what Abdul El Sayed and Mike Rogers say during the debate only, moderators, audience etc don’t count. Video clips, Pre/post debate comments by candidates etc also don’t count.

For answers like Hasan/piker, saying one or both would resolve yes, eg. Someone saying Mehdi Hasan would still resolve that answer yes.

  • Only the exact word(s) in the answer count, plus plurals and possessives ("tariff", "tariffs", "tariff's").

  • Any other form of the word does not count unless listed in the title. Example: "immigration" does not count "immigrant", "immigrants" or "immigrate".

  • Verb tenses don't count unless listed ("tax" does not count "taxed" or "taxing").

  • A listed word inside a hyphenated or compound word counts if spoken as a distinct word ("anti-immigration" counts for "immigration"). Words that merely contain the same letters don't ("said" for "AI").

  • Multi-word phrases must be said in that order with no words in between.

  • Capitalisation, spelling and punctuation are ignored.

  • Synonyms, euphemisms and implied references never count.

  • If the market title lists several words, any one of them counts.

Counting
For "at least X times" markets, every utterance counts, including repeats in the same sentence.

If only one of the candidates is there, resolves to what they say. If debate is cancelled, resolves n/a. If rescheduled, resolves to that date. If no debate by October 22, resolves no.
