Resolves N/A if no genre applies.
USAMTS (or United States of America Mathematical Talent Search) rounds have 5 problems, notably the first always being a puzzle (this will resolve N/A if this is not the case). This puzzle can roughly be classified based off its similarity to preexisting puzzles.
For the options I've made:
Loop/Path/Tree: Features prominently an explicit structure of a loop or a path or a tree. 1/3/33 would fall under this category
Cell/Region Shading: Features prominently the determination of the shading or unshading of a set of cells or given regions. 1/2/28 and 1/3/36 fall under this category.
Region Division: Features the division of a region into a large number of smaller regions. 1/1/31 would fall under this category. I do not think cave puzzles would not fall under this category.
Sudoku: Could reasonably called a variant sudoku, and should prominently feature characteristics of sudoku, such as placing numbers, no duplicate numbers in the same region / rows / columns, and a square grid. 1/2/36 falls under this category.
Number/Object Placement: Features the placement of objects or numbers. 1/3/32 and many more fall under this category.
You are free to debate my reasons for resolutions, add your own options (preferably with clear criteria), and ask how I feel about specific USAMTS rounds with respect to the above criteria. I will not bet in this market, and reserve the right to determine how these options should resolve.
