Did Manifold "*accidentally* add a bug in Manifold which breaks core functionality" for April Fools 2024?
This is asking whether this is an accurate description of a change made to the site in late March or on April 1, 2024, that is clearly an "April Fools" feature. The creator of the option stated "It has to actually be an accident, not on purpose. The asterisks were meant to empathise that, but on further reflection I see that it may be interpreted ironically."
Decides the result of the option "They accidentally add a bug in Manifold which breaks core functionality" in https://manifold.markets/Gabrielle/what-will-manifold-do-for-april-foo-4b75d67f113b.
@Gabrielle Yes, that. Buggy, intentional (i. e. "accidental") and pretty much breaking core (betting) functionality.
@Gabrielle However, I think resolving N/A would be the fairest thing to do, due to the ambiguity of "accidentally", which could be ironic or emphasis, so quite the opposite.
@Gabrielle yes/no buttons changed text size, floating, without ability to buy.
I considered this an “accidental bug”.
