Rosebank is the largest untapped oilfield in the UK. There has been much debate about whether it should be developed for oil and gas production, mostly centred on environmental impact.

This question is about when oil production begins. I'm not an expert in this area, and I'm not sure if it will be easy to find an exact date. (I imagine that "oil production starting" could be a gradual process with multiple stages.) I welcome input in the comments on a good source, or a better way of defining "production". (Ideally, let me know your suggestions sometime before 2026.)

If production starts close to the cutoff between two answers, such that it's hard to be certain which year it started in, I reserve the right to resolve to both of the adjacent years in the ratio I think is most appropriate.

I may bet in this market, but if things get controversial I will try to either liquidate my position or redistribute any profits that seem questionable.
