In a change from the 2020 Olympics, Speed Climbing has been spun out into its own medal event. This market refers to the medal event for combined bouldering & lead events.

See https://www.ifsc-climbing.org/olympics/index for the IFSC's list of athletes who have qualified.

Market will close at the awards ceremony.

Taking in the emotions and making sure no challenges arise (can't foresee any reason); planning to resolve in a couple minutes unless there are any objections?

Thank you all for a wonderful market and I'll see you on the women's side!

I had 1k yes order on Anraku at 7ü% and at 60%, but a glitch saved me and it was not filled, the price just jump over my limit with no interaction.

But it IS in the list of transactions, so i am likely to lose 2k, even though the market shows 500 profit.

I thought he would top it, should have sold when he fumbled the 360 campus move

5 updates of the page finally corrected the issue. I did lost that mana.

I don't understand the algorithm on the olympics. Finals are separated, but the medal is combined? Is there a point doing second discipline if a person did not pass through semifinal öf the first discipline? Or only those who got into finals of bouldering will get to lead?

We are currently in the semifinal round of 20 athletes that consists of a bouldering event & a lead event. These scores (each out of 100 possible) are added together and the top 8 athletes advance to the final round. This again consists of bouldering and lead events on separate days, with scores being added together to determine the podium.

Think of it sort of like decathlon from track & field: all the athletes compete in a collection of events over two days (sprint, long jump, pole vault, hurdles,...) with points awarded for performance in each event and the total scores determining ranking.

For some examples:

  • Anraku crushed the bouldering semis (69pts) and has an easy path to advance to the finals, probably only needing a mediocre lead score.

  • Megos laid a turd bouldering (24.7pts, 15th place) and will need to do VERY well in tomorrow's lead semifinal to have any chance of making the top 8 and advancing to the finals.

opened a Ṁ1,000 NO at 40% order

Placed 1000 mana against Jakob at 40%. Time limited limit order

If the IFSC combined lead & boulder scoring were used in the last Olympics, Colin Duffy would have won silver, instead of 7th place, according to this video! Pretty crazy. https://youtu.be/g3YZgaYB1ZU?si=yYqn0HO10LrFsYwY
