State Rep. Nicole Collier (D-Fort Worth) has been confined to the Texas House chamber since Monday, August 18, after refusing to sign a "permission slip" that would require her to be under 24-hour surveillance by Texas Department of Public Safety officers. The House is scheduled to reconvene on Wednesday, August 20, to vote on the controversial redistricting map.

This market resolves YES if Rep. Collier signs the permission slip allowing her to leave with a DPS escort before the House reconvenes at 10am on August 20, 2025. It resolves NO if she continues her protest and refuses to sign, or if she is allowed to leave without signing.
