An vietnamese artist named Minh Anh Nguyen Hoang, who goes by Ben Moran produced the latest in a series of commisioned book covers for the book series "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons." When he went to post it to r/art, his post was banned.

The eye-like moons, despite their clearly Sauron-inspired appearance are described in the LitRPG series itself.
When he appealed the process he was told that his art was "obviously AI prompted"

this is despite him having layered PSDs of the entire process of producing the work in question, and several other variations that he'd tried out. This has been picked up in the news:

At present the r/art mod community seems to be circling the wagons, defending the locking of the post, and the locking of basically all references to Ben Moran's artwork.
Resolves YES if the original post is unlocked for more than 24 hours by the close date or if references to Ben Moran's work on r/art are allowed to stand unmoderated.
At this time, two such references are from the creator of the LitRPG series that commissioned the work:

and some somewhat more... polemic posts by fans:

Resolves NO if the reflexive ban stands. The date was selected to be ~72-96 hours past when the temporary mute on https://www.reddit.com/user/benmoranartist 's account expires.
If things fall into a muddier grey area where most references are going through unmoderated but the more aggressive internet posts are being blocked, I may resolve N/A.
